Samsung launches Samsung Pay service

Samsung has launched the Samsung Pay service in the UK, which allows Samsung owners to make payments through a card connected to their phones in the same way as Android Pay and Apple Pay.

All three technologies work in almost identical ways, requiring users to hold their phones until they read the cards, check the transaction, usually use a fingerprint scanner, and Samsung, but this service will help them control the market for large payphone segments.

The company has collaborated with transport in London to allow public transport users to take advantage of internal and external stations and buses by touching their phones, competing with Oyster Card Reader, while Android Pay and Apple Pay can be used on TfL network.

To run the Samsung Pay service in normal transactions, users simply unlock the phone screen and check the payment with security pattern, iris or fingerprint scanner, and then have 30 seconds to touch the phone.

Samsung says that the scanner for the iris is 200 times more secure than the fingerprint sensor, since it's not easy to forge, and this service will be available on S8, S7 and S6 phones.
